Business: a project status update

Original sample text, with a careful edit to compare.

Before

The revised contact page is scheduled for October 12. The delivery depends on the final content review. The project notes record the open questions and the comments received during the first review.

After · illustrative edit

Here is an update on the Northstar design project. The first review is complete. The client reviews the draft, and the editor approves it. The revised contact page is scheduled for October 12. The delivery depends on the final content review. The project notes record the open questions and the comments received during the first review.

Same reviewers, approval responsibility, schedule, dependency and recorded progress.

An update colleagues can act on.

A business report needs to distinguish completed work, planned work and the decision still required. Business mode helps make those points direct while preserving the responsibilities and qualifications in the source. For correspondence to an individual recipient, Email provides a more specific starting context.

Separate progress from commitment

Keep completed work distinct from work that is scheduled or dependent on another decision. Simplify the introduction around an update without changing its status. A plan should not become a promise just because the sentence reads more smoothly.

Keep ownership and units attached

Protect team names, dates, measures and project terminology. Review who is doing each action and what each number describes. Swapping the reviewer and approver changes the report even when every name remains in the text.

Retain the decision and its qualifications

Make a stated recommendation easier to read while preserving its reasoning. Keep limitations, assumptions and unresolved questions visible. Do not add a conclusion, result or next step that the source never established.

Before you rewrite

  1. Paste a complete report section, project update or set of presentation notes, with its existing headings.
  2. Review owners, dates and quantities before generating. More concise can help remove ceremonial phrasing around the existing update.
  3. Check completed versus planned work in the Changes view, and confirm responsibilities before sharing the result.

How is Business different from Email?

Business focuses on reports, project updates and presentation notes: decisions, owners, status and qualifications. Email additionally emphasizes the recipient relationship, request, greeting and sign-off. Both use the same review workflow.

Can I paste a whole report?

Free drafts must contain 50–500 words. The Pro Pilot supports up to 5,000 words when enrollment is available. For longer reports, edit complete sections and review the final assembled document for consistency.

Can it verify the numbers in a report?

No. Locked-detail checks preserve exact strings and occurrence counts; they do not verify your original data. Check units, ownership and the underlying numbers before sharing a report.

Is the AI humanizer free to use?

The free tool supports three successful rewrites per UTC day, with 50–500 words per draft. A successful sentence-alternative batch uses one rewrite; choosing an option uses no extra allowance. Shared networks may share this limit. Failed or canceled rewrites do not use a successful-run allowance. You can review the complete result without signing in.
